Throughout my trials and tribulations as an online marketer, I have been asked about my opinion on the BBB, work at home jobs section, and if I had an idea of how knowledgeable their opinion was on the theory of buying an online business and working at home. Therefore, as a great Internet marketer, I had no choice, but to of course, eventually look into it and give my two cents worth of "gallery peanuts" and bring it back to you. So here's what I found...
I started by first going straight to the source and checking out the Better Business Bureau's website itself and not only came up with some great stuff, but also contradicting information on the subject all together! I seen in one article their warning about online scams and how, in 2012 alone there was 1,800 complaints about work at home jobs and how most of the complaints were composed around paying up front for an online opportunity and then not making any money at all. On the other hand the same website, BBB, work at home jobs section, also sports an article on accredited work at home jobs and opportunities and will even email you a list of these, "so called accredited online business models" at no cost. Some of them, you pay up front. So here's my two cents and my opinion on their accreditation and knowledge of the topic.
I do know from personal experiences that there are many great online business models out there and there are also many scam artists looking to take money from those who don't know any better. However, with a little knowledge anyone can create a very successful marketing business online and yes, you do put put money up front on many of them. But it's up to anyone who chooses to get into one of these online business models to do their homework and read all of the terms and conditions that are involved. I have joined a couple of very successful business models and they are legit systems and are still viable to this very day.
I can't deny that with a lot of these business models that operate online, many of them over hype their sales pages, make absurd sounding income statements and give only low quality information. Of course, there is another side to that as well... There are online models that can and do put quite substantial amounts of money and crazy bonuses up the "wahoo" in your pocket that seem unreachable and have been able to meet their promises, end to end with those who followed their exact system and replicated it.
In my eyes it's six to one and a half a dozen of the other. But the trick is to know what model to follow and how it all works before you jump in. Of course they are not going to tell you all the tricks and secrets without you paying for the knowledge first and showing your commitment their system. It does not take much study to find out if an opportunity is genuine, you just have to have the "know how" to be able to avoid the ones that simply take your money and turn out a rotten deal cause most of what they promoted was all hyped up to begin with.
I was never afraid myself to pay a few thousand dollars to invest in what I believed was a great online business opportunity and take a good run at it. But I can't say that everyone who bought into one of these systems had genuinely followed the internal system they created and beat their way through their goals. Then what? They naturally get upset at the people who sold them a real opportunity that they might not have put their heart into and just their hope in the first place. Again, six to one and a half a dozen of the other!
When it comes to judging online opportunities, I'd have to say that unless you're knowledgeable to some degree and/or have experience in the industry, then you can't really say much about it now, can you? The reason why I say that someone can't just up and state that anything you put money for up front for is a scam is because they either made the wrong choice in a business model or was scammed because lack of their own knowledge. The leverage of the Internet is a powerful tool and so is the ability to use that leverage accordingly.
In my eyes the BBB, work at home jobs section is somewhat under educated unless those who wrote the articles have actually been involved within the niche itself. So there ya go, bada boom, bada bing! There's my two cents worth of "peanuts."
If you enjoy my articles and have found something useful within them, then please remember, sharing is caring and I wish you all a very successful journey upon your online endeavors and look forward to another article soon so stay tuned!
