Simple SEO Techniques to Increase Your Site's SEO Rankings in Google
By Seth Zorn
People often ask why Google is displaying their site on page 15, and not on page 1. There's never a simple answer to this question because Google's complicated algorithm, which decides how sites rank, takes into account more than 200 factors based not only on your site, but your competitor's too.

Who to Talk to When Looking for an SEO Agency
By Tom Kitson
There are as many companies out there saying 'we're the best SEO agency in the world' as there are SEO agencies in the world! How are you going to know which one is truly the best qualified and suited to your needs with all of these claims out on the internet?
As with all things in the business world, what your business needs is going to be different from what another one will need. It can even vary between competitors in the same industry. Your first task for selecting a great SEO agency is to look at yourself.
Looking at your company to determine your SEO needs
Your first task is to think about what it is you want to accomplish with your SEO campaign. If you don't have a clear goal, with measurable successes, your campaign is more likely to fail. This responsibility is on you, not who you hire, so be sure that you are ready to hire on an SEO company before you do so.
Your next task is to think beyond just those three words - search engine optimization. Yes, you want to bring more visitors to your site by getting a higher search rank, but how will this happen? Does the company you are looking at offer other services such as social media consultation, link building, design and copywriting? Having a company on hand that can handle all of this eases your needs to have to go searching for web related companies over and over again.
Talk to your business associates
OK, you know what you want to do with your website and you know what services you want to have provided to you. Now you should start getting real data and information from people who really matter: your business contacts.
If you know anyone who has already hired an SEO agency, and gotten great results, you need to talk to them and find out what worked, what didn't and any challenges they faced. This first hand data is more important than any claim you'll find randomly online.
Get examples of past success
Once you have found a great SEO agency you should get a quote from them and see what they have actually accomplished. A portfolio of past clients, who you can contact if you wish, is the most valuable thing that any reputable SEO firm will have to offer you.
The last point I want to bring up is to be wary of outrageous claims made at any stage of the process such as:
"We guarantee a number one ranking" - this is impossible to guarantee, no matter how good an SEO agency it is.
"We won't alter your website" - then how will they improve SEO? This claim is too good to be true and likely only involves some link building of questionable intent.
"We'll submit your website to hundreds of search engines." Who cares? Everyone uses Google anyway! Being put on a few core directories is important, but hundreds? You're just creating spam.

Importance of SEO in Website Design
An online presence is a must for any business to maintain a stable position in today's competitive market. Now most of the business transactions take place online. Here comes the need for business websites to rank high in the search results. However, simply having a website is not enough, various factors need to be considered to make it appear among the top results. SEO website design is necessary to ensure that your business website performs well. With changes in the search engine algorithm and advancements in the strategies, a lot of elements are to be considered for an enhanced website design.
Search Engine Optimized Website gives Better Results
Let us look at the most significant search engine optimization elements that need to be considered for website design for improved results.
Keywords: The most significant element of a website design is the proper usage of keywords. It is important to find the most relevant keywords and utilize them appropriately in the right places such as in title tag, graphic descriptions, and business slogans for better visibility.
Content: Maintaining quality and unique website content improves the search rankings. Make your content search relevant and provide information that users are looking for. It should be well-structured and readable so that search engine bots can access it with quickness and ease.
Domain name: Relate your domain name to the target keyword phrase, this is a good way of optimization and improves ranking.
SEO-friendly Navigation Menus: See that the navigation option used in the website is web-crawler-friendly. However, while focusing on the same, you should note that it should be user-friendly as well. The usage of text based CSS3 is the best choice that gives fancy effects while maintaining the rankings.
Images: When images are used in website design, see that they are optimized for faster loading times. The images used should be relevant to the content on the page; compress them to the smallest possible size.
Search Engine-friendly URLs: When keywords signifying the content of the page are used, it will be equally useful for the search engine as well as the users.
Page Speed: As per the new algorithm, the speed of the page has a lot to do with the ranking. While designing the website, implementing a good code structure helps the website to load faster.
Alt & Title Tags: When images are used, Alt tags are a must and proper title tags should be there for the title so that the search engine can see them.
Block Unwanted Pages: There could be pages that don't have any content value and you don't want these to be indexed by search engines. It is best to block those pages.
JavaScript and CSS: It is always advisable to externally place JavaScript and CSS codes so as to make the crawling process much faster.
Social Media Engagement: Include social signals into the page so that one share, tweet or like improves the website's visibility.
You should entrust the design for your website task to an established company with SEO knowledge. This allows you to have your site build your site adhering to the latest SEO principals. These customized services will put your website in front of targeted visitors and improve conversions.

Optimize Your Website for Better Ranking and More Volume of Visitors
When it comes to the choice of search engine optimization or SEO it is essential to note that this is the process which can ensure the volume of visitors visiting your website. Therefore, the basic idea is that with the proper optimization of your website you can popularize your website so that it can get noticed by the search engines and rank higher on their result pages. With a higher ranking the volume of visitors will increase naturally.
The SEO is therefore the process of increasing the visibility and relevancy of a website for both the search engines and by extent their users. There are a few basic concepts that should be followed properly in order to achieve success in search engine optimization of a website. But before getting into the details it is important to note that there are two basic forms of optimizing a website, first is the on-page optimization or the optimization required to get your website technically ready for indexing, and the second is the process of off page optimization or the process of popularizing your website.
To ensure the proper listing of the website there are a few things that should be paid special attention to. First of all is the content that you put in your website. The content of the website is a very crucial factor that increases your chance of getting a higher ranking on the while the web pages are indexed. The content is an essential part of both on page and off page optimization. The content you place in your website must be highly relevant to the products, services and the goal of your website. This is what attracts the attention of the visitors. Proper distribution of content along with proper placement of keywords is also the key to get better success in search engine ranking.
Sober designing and development of the website is another important factor behind the proper optimization of a website. A simple design with minimum graphics helps in getting success in search engine ranking easier. It is also essential to make sure that the website navigation is easy and avoid slow loading animation. This enables the web crawlers to crawl the website easily and helps in the indexing process. The Meta tags and Meta titles should also be properly placed. Ensuring the proper choice and placement of keywords, meta tags, meta title helps a lot in reach your desired ranking.
However, whatever your search engine optimization strategy may be it is essential to make sure that they are according to the latest search engine algorithms. This is very important because these algorithms keep on changing from time to time. Planning a wrong strategy can be harmful for your website.
What Most People Don't Know About SEO
Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is the process in which specific 'keywords', I.e. certain words specific to a certain subject which are regularly used in search engines, are placed strategically throughout content created with the purpose of being published onto the internet. It is used on websites and in blogs, articles, podcasts and videos.
When it comes to using SEO within these mediums, most people assume that keywords are only necessary within the actual content to be published. It is a necessity to use keywords within the content, however something that the majority of people don't realize is that these keywords should also be incorporated into the code of the website. This is something many people neglect to do.
The reason it is so important to incorporate your keywords into the code of your website is search engines crawl through the code of a website rather than just the visible content. This means that there are numerous opportunities to include your keywords long before you focus on the visible content on your site.
With keywords placed within your websites code you'll gain an advantage over the competition as your site will be deemed more relevant and your site will be rewarded with a higher place in the search engine results and greater visibility.
Now, there are two ways to go about doing this; if you are confident working with HTML code and have experience coding websites then you will be able to do this yourself. However if you are reading this article then chances are you're new to website creation and building. If this is the case then hiring a professional in the SEO field is your best bet.
A quick search on Google or your search engine of choice is all you'll need to do to find someone who can do this for you - however if you're on a tight budget then you can head over to what is personally my favorite website: Fiverr.com! Have a look on there at all the professionals who can optimize your website for $5, there are plenty to choose from.
Take a look around and decide on who you feel will be the best candidate. Remember to check their feedback too! The customer never lies and so you can always rely on customer feedback as a reliable, trustworthy source on how well a particular expert performs.
Now you know how adding keywords into the code of your website can help bring even more traffic to it. If you implement this with all of your websites you could end up on the first page of results in Google and if this happens then the sky is the limit!

How to Find the Best SEO Services Company
By Tom Kitson
So you've been reading around on the internet in an effort to increase your knowledge and find a way to get your company near the top of Google. If you're not an expert you're likely looking for SEO services from a reputable company. But how do you find them? There are a seemingly endless number of them, where do you begin?Try searching for 'best SEO company' in Google right now. Are the companies that come up actually the best? Here are a number of ways that you can begin to narrow down your list of potential companies and find the right SEO services for your business.
Older is usually better
There are an endless stream of new companies starting up in the SEO field. These new companies may have some great ideas, but have they been tested? The odds are usually stacked against them as SEO is one of those skill-sets that is developed over time.
Look for an SEO firm that has been in business for a few years. They'll likely have built up a portfolio of past projects and they'll list them on their website in most cases. Have a look through them and try to contact one or two to verify the claims that are being made.
Take the time to learn on your own before diving in
Would you go out and buy the first used car that was within your price range without reading up on a little bit of literature first? Of course not! Take the time to learn about the basics of SEO first. Learn about things like algorithm changes, link building and the difference between SEO and social media management.
Once you have the basics down you'll be able to ask intelligent questions of your SEO services company such as:
How have you adapted to Google Panda and Penguin?
What sort of reports and data can you supply me to measure results?
Are your back-links white hat compatible with Panda/Penguin?
What have you done for other clients of your who are in my industry?
Asking the right questions, and being knowledgeable about the answers, are your surest bets to protecting yourself and your business.
Don't get caught up in rankings
Man people engage with companies for SEO services and have the only goal of getting a high rank for certain keywords. So they get those rankings and what happens? Nothing! Their visitors barely rise, their engagement stays flat and conversions remain level.
What happened? A number of factors could be coming into play. For starters, it is likely that they are ranking for the wrong keywords. If you sell toilets, but you rank well for toilet brushes, this will not benefit you.
Another problem is that you have upgraded your SEO, but not your website. Bringing in new traffic means handling new traffic appropriately. Having a plan for the sales funnel and clearly establishing the goal of your website is a very important step, perhaps even more important than any SEO services.

Les bons Blogs SEO
By:Laurent Bourrelly

J’ai adoré son livre The Search.

Boost Your Traffic With These SEO Techniques
By Meagan Smith
Search engine optimization is very important mainly because you can really explode your traffic. Optimizing your website for the search engines is crucial to make more money. The tips and tricks in this article will help you get more traffic and sales.
If you want your site to get ranked on Google your top priority should be to make sure your content is well optimized and unique. This is the only way that your site will get indexed often by the search engine spiders. Another tip is to include a sitemap which it helps a lot to get indexed even faster.
Search engines like Google and Yahoo both offer free local listing services; you should take advantage of these, especially if your website ties in to a physical business. These free services offered by the search engines give you free exposure which brings you more visitors and more visibility to your business. If you can promote yourself for free without violating anti-spam rules, do so in anyway you can.
Try using SEO style writing in place of the AP style that you may have been using to raise your search engine rankings. To maximize the SEO style, repeat the important keywords as many times as you can without ruining the flow or quality of writing. Search engines look for keywords and evaluate keyword density, but you also want to make sure you have quality information and not just garbage for SEO purposes.
To improve your search engine rankings, use many variations of your keywords, including misspellings, in your meta tags. Search engines look for meta tags and including a variety of keywords which will help you be more visible. To demonstrate this, let's say your site theme is about knives. You could include a variety of related keywords, including: "knives," "nives", and "knifes", along with any other reasonable options you may want to consider.
When it comes to SEO you must understand that it takes many small pieces to complete the puzzle. For example if you are not aware already there are a few factors that can affect your rankings even if you think you are doing everything right. Like your site's loading time and also your website's design and structure, believe or not they do play a part.
No one wants their business to fail miserably. Even though many online businesses fail, there are actually many more ways to find success on the Internet and if you follow these SEO tips you will be one step ahead.

Best Way To Reach The Top Using SEO
By Manny Rutz
I'm sure that you are aware of the many benefits of being ranked in the search engines. As a business owner it could mean more customers and more exposure for your business. If you can optimized your site correctly you can attract an unlimited source of leads and customers that are laser targeted. This article will reveal the nuts and bolts of SEO and it's benefits.
One of the things you need to understand is the importance of doing keyword research. Keyword research will tell you which keywords you should target and will be more profitable and also which ones are not getting enough traffic. Once you figured out your keyword research then you can optimize your articles and pages inside your site to those keywords. Search engines will crawl your content and find your keywords automatically.
While you are working on the SEO aspects of your site you can use all other free means to get some initial exposure. For example creating free local listings on Yahoo & Google will give you some visitors. Keep in mind that you should never be depending of a single source of traffic for your sites.
A major tip to increase the process of getting indexed and also to get your website content crawl by the search engines spiders is including a sitemap. By getting your content crawl often you'll find that most of your pages will be visible on multiple search engines. Some bigger sites sometimes require more than one, but if you have a site on a small niche one should be enough.
One of the things that has been proven many times is that adding a blog to your site improves your search engine rankings drastically. The search engines like Google simply love blogs because of the way they are structured. Blogs get updated often with fresh content and the overall usage of blogs help the site in general improve its position. Having a blog will put you one step ahead of your competitors.
There's no secret formula to instant SEO results, it all comes down to keyword research and how well you optimized your site for your keywords and for the search spiders. Backlinks also play a huge part in the process of ranking websites. If you are consistent with your backlinking process and you focus on quality you will see the results in no time.

SEO
Most everyone seems to understand the importance of SEO- what business with a web presence does not long to be at the top of the first page in a search result? While the desire to be at the top of the results listing is shared by many, the way to get there is something that seems to split businesses into two camps-those that want it quick and easy and those willing to invest and look at the long term.
Tactics and Strategies
Ian Lurie, a well-known SEO expert, believes that the biggest reason for mistakes is due to believing that SEO is only a tactic. "It's not," says Lurie. "It's a strategic approach to marketing online." What's the difference between a tactic and a strategic marketing approach? A tactic is typically something you do one time. Once the tactic has been completed, most people completely forget about it as time passes as it is rarely revisited.
A strategy, on the other hand involves forward planning, refining, executing, measuring and analyzing-and then starting over again and again. This continual process is the heart of a good strategic marketing campaign-it keeps moving and adapting without ever stopping.
Good SEO Never Stops Working
I firmly believe that enterprise SEO should never be a tactic but, rather, a long-term strategy to marketing your business online. Treating it as anything less will undermine your ultimate success.
I once had the misfortune of losing an enterprise SEO client because the new Vice President of Marketing considered it only to be a tactic, and budgeted for it his own way. He acted as though he believed that since their results were good after one year, they were done and could move on to other things.
All too many site owners fall into this trap, putting in the time and effort that achieves some reasonable benchmark of SEO and then they quit because they are "there". Sadly, that is not how enterprise SEO works and these businesses will eventually find themselves no longer "there".
Everything Takes Time
Just as building your results takes time, so can losing your results. If you stop working your SEO today, you are not likely to plummet off the map tomorrow. While you may be able to ride out the effects of your campaign for several weeks and months, the fact remains that if you stop making links or posting content, you will eventually fall behind your competition.
Your brand and previous work can only carry you for so long. If enterprise SEO is just a tactic for you, you are undermining your own potential.
Search Engines Are Not There For You
One thing that is difficult for many enterprise and small businesses to understand is that the search engines are not there to help you do business. The search engines are there to help their users-your customers, you hope.
Search engines are in the business of providing answers and you need to prove to them that you have the information they should provide. If your website proves that it can help to deliver the user with useful information, then your site will perform better organically and get that uplift. Businesses that only dabble in SEO here and there will not be able to prove such value to search engines.
So what is the bottom line? If you want the results to stay, the effort must also stay.
