Suggestions For An Effective Article Marketing Strategy

By Ericka Rosenzweig

A lot of people today are getting into article marketing, but they sometimes feel it is too difficult to be as successful as some of the many who are earning serious money from it. What you have to do is learn as much as you can about how to be successful with article marketing and apply that knowledge whenever possible. Here are some great hints.

If you want to raise your chances of your article being found by searches, don't make the mistake of publishing it in more than one place. Far better to publish it once, under a single URL, and linking to it with tags from other locations. This is because Google's way of ranking pages in searches is based on the number and quality of links to a single page. The more times your page appears, the more places those links will accumulate, and the weaker your search results will be.

Avoid using "marketing language" within the article itself. Articles should focus on some aspect of your market in general rather than directly pitching a product or service. The place to get your marketing in is in your short call to action at the end of the article. If the content of the main article is congruent with the call to action, the reader is more likely to buy.

Always make sure to use the spell check feature, before you submit any content to be added to your website. It would be very embarrassing to have a quality product and a great site, and then have people discount it because you are having some issues with something as simple as spelling. Submit your articles to some of the popular article directories online. These sites already have a built in audience looking for articles just like yours. Sometimes it's easier to use a pre-existing solution than it is to try and reinvent the wheel. A quick google search for "article directories" will give you some of the top sites to go for.

You should not worry about your word count until you have an advanced draft of your article. The author's own sense should dictate how long the article is when it is first written. You can always trim an article when you are editing it, or even split it into two separate articles.

Schedule your article postings on your calendar, and stick to them. Consistently updating can be one of the most difficult tasks to manage when you write articles. Writing them on your schedule, like you would a work schedule, can give you the reminders and motivation you need to succeed at providing new articles on a regular basis.

Hopefully after reading this article you have a better idea of how to be successful with article marketing. The information from this article serves as but a portion of the knowledge you can learn, so always keep on the lookout for new information to acquire and apply, and success should follow before you know it.
