Instagram is known for social networking and online photo sharing tool common with iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android too. The users can upload and share photos in Facebook, Tumbler and Twitter among several other social networks. With over 100 million active users per month, 41 million photos shares on a single day, 8,000 likes per second and 1,100 comments shared every second, it has grown to become a very popular social network and a powerful marketing tool having been introduced just a few years ago. If you want to get more followers on Instagram fast, there are several tips you can use.

The easiest way out is to buy followers. There are several services that sell followers although this may not sound interesting. It only works if you are desperate and has no time and patience to grow a network of genuine followers. If you choose to go this option, you must be able to distinguish between real accounts and the fake ones to avoid being swindled. The bad side of this option is that even if you access the real users, majority of them may not be interested in your posts.

Being a social network tool, the most effective tip is to get socializing with other users. This is by following them first, liking and commending on their photo uploads and joining some micro communities that are popular. Through this way, you get noticed and get followed in return.

You also need to utilize contacts you already have in your phone and other social network pages such as Facebook and Twitter among others. If the target is Facebook for instance, you should integrate your Instagram page with the Facebook page so as to attract the Facebook users who have Instagram accounts. Other than directly inviting your social contacts, you should also try advertising your account through the other social network pages and blogs you already owns.

The photos you upload are the key to everything. The users demand that you offer them something interesting. The photos must therefore be interesting, and personal if they are to attract attention of others. The trick is to have them personal, unique and easy to relate with.

The idea is to be real and unique and focus on capturing emotion of users. The photos need not to be perfect as most users are not professional photographers. If you are good in filtering and is able to combine images so as to tell a story, you a one step ahead. Just be sure there is consistency in uploading of photos.

The other tip is to be careful of the hashtags used. They must be the trending ones other than being popular and relevant at the time. If the photos are linked to relevant hashtags, you get noticed very fast. The same trick applies to Geotags which focus on location of the upload.

Lastly, you should understand that Instagram works best with timing. The peak hours are in the morning and evening after work when most the users are online. The busiest hour of the week is between 5 to 6 pm on Wednesdays. If you upload your photo at this time, it gets noticed by the majority of users. With the correct call to action, you will get followed by many users in the shortest time possible.
