Home Made Natural Oral Care

By Michael Lewis

Everyone desires an odorless mouth and beautiful white teeth. They come with comfort and a confidence boost besides saving you from midnight painful toothaches. While advanced toothpastes and oral care products have been invented, natural oral care remains the most reliable. The remedies have been used by different societies since time in memorial and have been proven to be free of side effects. Here are proven steps that are devoid of manufactured products or chemicals but deliver excellent results.

Clean your teeth regularly. According to dental specialists, you should brush your teeth twice each day. Where possible, brushing should take place after every meal. Where toothbrush and paste are not available, flossing is recommended. It helps to eliminate residue that escalates decay once left too long in the mouth.

Increase the amount of alkaline foods in your diet. The main cause of tooth decay is food remnants that generate acid that eats away your tooth enamel. Alkaline foods neutralize this acid and maintain recommended pH in your mouth. The recommended alkaline foods include a lot of fruits, greens and beans. This is not an excuse to stop cleaning your teeth using high quality toothpastes and brushes.

Warm sea salt water is still a classic option. It has been in use for centuries and is proven to deliver excellent results. Floss using the water one time a day or after every meal, where you cannot brush. It eliminates the unwelcome bacteria and other infectious organisms. You may add a drop of olive oil or cloves that are used as fresheners. The natural ingredients have been used for centuries before the commercial mouth wash was invented.

You need to rest enough especially sleeping for recommended hours. This is recommended for overall good health. It should be accompanied by daily exercises. This keeps the body free of infections and inflammations that are likely to attack the body especially due to fatigue. When the body is worn out, it succumbs easily to infections.

Clean the tongue regularly. The nature of the tongue means that it can capture a lot of food residues. This is a potent source of bad breath and tooth decay. The residue will still affect your teeth despite regular cleaning if the tongue is ignored. Use brushes that are specific for the tongue. Fibrous foods like sugarcane can be used in cleaning the tongue as well.

Consult a holistic dentist near you on regular basis. The recommended frequency for dental checkup is once or twice a year. The dental professional can spot and rectify dental or oral issues as early as possible. Where there are hardware like fillings, rails, implants, etc, they will be monitored to ascertain that they are working effectively.

To keep your mouth fresh and healthy, any danger that may harm your tongue, teeth or gums should be avoided. To avoid disastrous side effects relating to chemicals and manufactured products, baking soda, salt and herbal toothpastes should be used. The best toothpastes are those that are free of fluoride. Be conscious of your oral health from childhood to guarantee a healthy adulthood.
